Out West
“Out West” is a collection of photographs made between 2016-2023 documenting the stretches of highway between Los Angeles and the Eastern Sierras. I originally started this project as a short term diversion from landscape and wedding work, but instead it changed the course of my photography and led me to fall in love with both film photography and the American Southwest.
The collection consists of 16 pieces that capture some of the character of the small towns nestled along the mountains that make up the backbone of California - towns from Mojave to Bishop and beyond.
